Ronnie Miller, Rev. Richard Hedger Obituary: Sam Grant, 79, of Garvin, Oklahoma passed away January 9, 2010 at his home. He was born January 10, 1930 in Pampa, Texas, the son of Harry Nelson Grant and Mable Fagan Grant. He had lived in McCurtain County most of his life. Sam was a retired employee of Brown and Root and also worked as a dry wall finisher Sam was a member of the River Bottom Baptist Church, a member of the Valliant Masonic Lodge #301, and served in the US Army during the Koran War. Sam loved raising Beefmaster cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Sammy Grant, two brothers, Dow Grant and Dick Burnett. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, June Grant, Garvin, OK; one daughter, Laurie Frazier, of Idabel, one brother and sister in-law, Johnny and Connie Burnett Newalla, OK; two sisters, Jean Jamison and husband, Cecil of Idabel and Margaret Johnson, of Ellinwood, Kansas; three grandchildren, Chad Frazier, Meghan Frazier and Jacob Hill. |
