Obituary:
Lorena Sue Coffman was born on April 12, 1944 at Redand, Okla. She was married to Thomas T. Coffman on June 25, 1966 at Idabel, Okla. She passed from this life on Sept.4, 2010 at Idabel, Okla, at the age of 66 years, 4 months and 22 days.
Lorena had lived most of her life in McCurtain County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Idabel. Lorena graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Southeastern State College and was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. For the passed 16 years, she has served as the office manager for The Museum of the Red River. Prior to that she had served as a U.S.D.A. Inspector for Tysons. Her many hobbies included sewing, flower gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Lorena leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Thomas T. Coffman of the home. 2 Daughters; Shelley Taylor of Earlsboro, Okla., and Melissa Pierce and husband, Buddy of Haworth. 1 Brother; Galen McBrayer and wife Judy of Idabel; 1 Sister-in-law, Melody McBrayer of Idabel. 4 Grandchildren; Zachary & Joshua Taylor of Earlsboro, Okla. and Chris & Morgan Pierce of Haworth. Several neices, nephews and other relatives also survive.
The family wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Idabel public library or to the Museum of the Red River.
