Obituary:
James Conley, of Idabel, OK a well known cattleman and philanthropist, was loved and respected by people throughout the United States,
entered into rest at his home on December16, 2010 at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 10 days.
James was born August 6, 1941 in Tulsa, OK, the son
of Roy Conley and Maudie Martin Conley. James lived most all his life in McCurtain County, and was a faithful and active member of the By Pass Church of Christ in Idabel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Gary and Tommy Conley, one grandson, Mark Conley and a brother, Warren Conley.
James leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, JoAnn of the home, son, Mike and Lue Davis of Idabel, OK; daughter, Kathy Morrison and Johnny of Fredrick, OK;
daughters in-law, Tonya Conley and Cindy Conley both of Idabel; grandchildren, Justin Conley, of Idabel, Michael Davis of Saudi Aubria; Jami Ann Conley, R.J. Thompson and Shannon Conley and two great-grandchildren; Kelsey Conley and Cheyenne Bivings.; one sister, Violet Smith of Paris, TX; several nieces, nephews, cousins , other relatives, and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday at Norwood-Nation Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday December 19, 2010 at the By Pass Church of Christ with Brad Giddens and Larry Brinkley officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Joann, I am soooo saddened by the loss of "big Daddy", a wonderful fun loving man I will never forget. I have had so many great memories flood my mind ever since I found out.
