Obituary:
Imodene "Brownie" McHargue, of Redland was born September 12, 1931 in Caviness, Texas, the daughter of M.C. McFatridge and Maude Lingo McFatridge. She passed August 15, 2011 in Idabel, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 3 days.
Imodene lived most of her life in McCurtain Country, moving here from Paris, Texas. She worked as a cook and also worked in the lunchroon
at Haworth School. Imodene was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church.
Imodene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnny McHargue and a stepdaughter, Carolon McHargue.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons; Dearel Oglesby and Ronnie Joe McHargue and wife Terry, of Alabama one daughter; Laura Hill and husband, Larry of Goodwater;
two stepsons; Jimmy McHargue and wife Kay, of Broken Bow and Donnie McHargue of Idabel; one stepdaughter,, Kathy Chapman and husband. Billy of Idabel; two sisters;
Imogene "Bluie" Davis and Celestine Woods both of Paris, Texas; several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Redland Cemetery with Victor Balagbagan officiating. Interment will follow in Redland Cemetery.
